Language Problem

netready

Recommended Posts

i am building a oscommerce store for my sister in denmark.

she emailed the danish text in a word.doc to me. i then paste the text in the file using the internal text editor of the ftp program (cute ftp pro).

the outcome is not the same as you can see the image below

the first line is the correct danish text and the second line is what appeared in the website

danish_tex.gif

Can anyone give me advice on how to rectify the problem.

Thanks for any help.

i am using IE6.0. the language setting is auto-selected to western europe (ISO).

I don't know whether i have to install the danish language.

Anyway, the webpage viewed by my sister in denmark is the same, i.e. the danish is not correct. so i can say that has nothing to do with the browser.

Thanks

It's too bad that this problem remains unsolved.

Is there anyone who has knowledge or experience in fixing this problem and give me advice accordingly?

My sister's site is going to launch SOON.

Thanks for any help.

When you look at other danish sites, are all the letteres correct or is there a similar problem? if so, the problem is local to you or your browser.

Maybe you can put a line of text in a HTML document with all the letters, check it locally then upload to the server. Then check it again. does it change? if so, your server doesnt accept this character set.

Other wise, try a different editor?
