ActiveTuning
Hey, quick question. Can anybody point me to any kind of thread or documentation for upgrading from 2.2 MS1 to 2.2 MS2?
DougsBrat
I would like to know too. We want to upgrade from 2.2cvs to 2.2ms2 I downloaded oscommerce-2.2ms2.zip and it looks like all the new PHP and graphic files are there, but no documentation and I have not found any upgrade details here. I can only assume you would over write the new files over the old ones on the server, but that is a guess?

Guest
There is an update script in the extras directory. General documentation is at wiki.oscommerce.com/docs. Hth, Matt
DougsBrat
I found the instructions! :D when I unziped oscommerce-2.2ms2.zip to a directory on my PC I saw some info files without an extention, but they were text files (FAQ, Install, etc..) the rest of the files were unzipped in sub directories. :D Now I am having MySQL issues getting the upgrade to access the database, checking with host provider now!
sam6
I think oscommerce-2.2ms2 has an upgrad feature in the catalog/install/index.php it says install and upgrade
DougsBrat
I think oscommerce-2.2ms2 has an upgrad feature in the catalog/install/index.phpit says install and upgrade This is true! then it asks for the database details (name, location, password, etc), this is what is not working for me. "can't connect to DB" :(
Guest
you would most likely be better off to upgrade the database manually
