csquat Posted December 3, 2003 Posted December 3, 2003 It seems that when a user orders something through the cart, and they use paypal for payment, the order never gets logged into the cart. Has anyone seen this before?
Guest Posted December 3, 2003 Posted December 3, 2003 Yes. Hth, Matt P.S. chfields has posted a workaround for this.
steve*** Posted December 3, 2003 Posted December 3, 2003 It is normally because the user does not press the continue button at the end of the paypal pages to get them back to your store and send the order to your server. The best way that I could find to work around this is to run Paypal IPN indtead of normal paypal. Paypal IPN is available for download from the contrib section
Guest Posted December 13, 2003 Posted December 13, 2003 Can you link me to the workaround chfields posted? I wasn't able to find it.

ScooterProShop.com Posted December 15, 2003 Posted December 15, 2003 Can you link me to the workaround chfields posted? I wasn't able to find it. 1 search and your answer Sorry, an error occurred. If you are unsure on how to use a feature, or don't know why you got this error message, try looking through the help files for more information. *cough* Dont be so cocky. Was just a simple question. Matter of fact ... I cant find it either. Scooterboy
Guest Posted December 16, 2003 Posted December 16, 2003 I click on Search (upper right); click on More Options; click on osCommerce Support forums in the forum selector; type paypal in the keywords box; type chfields in the username box; click Perform the Search and find this post, among others. Maybe it's time to post an IPB Search Tips & Tricks thread, since the principal phpBB tricks are either no longer necessary or no longer functional. Hth, Matt
