Page Cannot Be Displayed

here's my problem:

 

i log into my account -> add stuff to my cart, but when i try to checkout, i get the dreaded "Page cannot be displayed" error. I'm not exactly sure what the problem could be. i thought it could be something with the SSL, but my login works fine. I tried restoring a backup and that didn't help either. I've even tried checking file by file to see if there is a mistake in the code.

 

if this was a parse error or anything else along that line, i'd be happy. I could fix that. But when the page doesn't even appear, i have no idea what to do. :blink:

 

any help??

i found a temp fix...

 

i went into includes/checkout_shipping.php and commented lines 138/139

 

// get all available shipping quotes

// $quotes = $shipping_modules->quote();

 

it appears as thought this is a problem that everyone using ipowerweb hosting gets. they have blocked some port on their servers that causes all realtime shipping modules to fail. at this point, i'm without any shipping, but at least i can sell stuff.

I have the same problem too, but sometimes it works and it sometimes doesn't work..........can we have other ways(solutions) instaed of just switching hosting services......

I have the same problem too. I tried that *commenting* technique on checkout_shipping.php...and still no page is found :(
