I registered 2 domain names. One is for my main site. The other is for my catalog. I have the catalog in a subdirectory under my main site as follows:

Main site: www.cdi-ink.com

Catalog: www.cdi-ink.com/shop

New Catalog Domain: www.cdi-buy.com

I am wondering how I need to set my configure.php file to have the domain www.cdi-buy.com point to www.cdi-ink.com/shop.

My host is www.cdi.hostultra.com if it helps any.

To sum it up:

-I want my main site to be www.cdi-ink.com and it already is.

-I also want my catalog to be www.cdi-buy.com and right now the catalog is www.cdi-ink/com/shop.

All help is always appreciated immensely

the easiest way is to do a redirect in the old shop directory to point to the new domain.

i should back up here, does the store currently work at cdi-buy?

or are you just trying to move the current to the new location? you could do a new install at the new site, backup the old one and restore to the new site.

I think you misunderstood my configuration.

I have www.cdi.hostultra.com as my web hosting default address (if I didnt register my own domain, this is what people would use)

I registered www.cdi-ink.com and that is where my site is

My store is at www.cdi-ink.com/shop

My site is still www.cdi-ink.com

I registered the domain name www.cdi-buy.com for my store.

I want www.cdi-buy.com to point to www.cdi-ink.com/shop so that when people type www.cdi-buy.com, they are taken to the contents of www.cdi-ink.com/shop

I dont want to pay for separate web hosting just for my store.

www.cdi-buy.com is NOT a new site. it is the DOMAIN NAME that I registered to POINT to www.cdi-ink.com/shop

www.cdi-buy.com does not do ANYTHING at this point
