Guest Posted December 1, 2003 Share Posted December 1, 2003 Hi all I'm looking for a couple of things for a potential customer: 1. Hidden products. This is where the administrator can have products that are only visible if someone clicks directly on a specific link - sent in an e-mail for examples - but hidden if they come in through the normal site entrance. 2. Extra fields. They want the ability to be able to collect different data from the visitor depending on the product that they are buying. My intention is to persuade them that this one isn't a good idea - what happens when they order 2 different products? - but I wondered if it's possible just in case. Guest Posted December 2, 2003 Share Posted December 2, 2003 1. Someone just suggested adding the products to a category with subcategories (like the top category). I think the post is in tips & tricks. You can also add a category; put products in it; delete the category. Or manually change products_to_categories so that it has a non-existent category. 2. There are two contributions that allow one to put text boxes on the product_info page as attributes. The one that I have used is called Product Attributes - Option Type Feature.
