Order emails not sending

OK here's the weird part. When a customer orders, I don't receive the order email to my set email address. The customer receives the email, and the address I specify to send extra order emails to receives it, but my main email address will not receive an order email. Any ideas? *nix system, all other email functions work correctly without error, except sending to my main account to go for orders.

probably have junk mail filter on..

that's not it... i have a spam filter, but it goes into a seperate folder and I would still receive the message. Also the same filter is applied to the email address I set for additional order info to go to.

BTW: It's MS2.2, and if I set the sent extra order info email to the same email address I want to use (entering the email twice, once as email address, and once as send extra emails to) I receive the message. This fact shows to me it's not a server side problem or email problem, but an error in the code somewhere...

 <_<

I have the exact same problem. The customer receives an email upon placing an order, but I don't.. I tried switching emails in My Store -> E-Mail Address, still nothing.

Maybe it's some flag and needs to be set on to actually send the email?

Any help is much appreciated.

Just figured it out.. you need to add your email to the "Send Extra Orders Email" in "My "Store"

:)

that's not the problem. The Extra Orders email is just that, email address to ALSO send the order info too. Yes it's a quick fix for our problem, and I'm doing the same, but it should work with the original email address too :(

I figured out my problem. I am developing my shopping cart on a new hosting providers box. They have my domain as a virtual host. So when my cart was sending emails, it was not going out the the internet to my actual hosting provider. Instead it was staying on my new hosting providers server. So, it does work, I just need to log into my new hosting providers webmail. And it will work when I go live after switching DNS.
