removing date added from new products page

Hi,

 

can someone help me out

 

I am trying to remove the "date added" info from the items listed on the "new products" page.

 

I think this code is TEXT_DATE_ADDED located in catalog/products_new.php

 

see this:

Anyone able to show me how to comment the "date added" info out or otherwise remove it in the code?

I commented out define('TEXT_DATE_ADDED', '');

 

but it didn't seem to have any effect

You need to put it back so it looks like this

define('TEXT_DATE_ADDED', '');

Just in case anyone was looking through this post and still couldn't find the answer, you need to change the code near the top of catalog/products_new.php to this: (feel free to copy and paste this text)

All I have done is simply removed the reference to dates added. You can then play around with the breaks (<br>) to space your text out however you want.
