chuck
^_^ I AM NEW TO OSC, PHP,CGI ETC. LET ME SEE IF I GOT THIS RIGHT? OSC IS A USERFACE CART TO INTERGRATE WITHIN YOUR OWN SITE. I HAVE A SITE WITH ITEMS ON IT, I WOULD LIKE TO SET UP AS A CART, BUT CANT FIGURE ALL OF THIS STUFF OUT. granburyfloral.com AS YOU CAN SEE THERE ARE FLOWERS AND SUCH, TO ADD TO CART BUT AREN'T SET UP. I HAV NO CLUE ON WHERE TO BEGIN. I HAVE INSTALLED OSC FROM MY CONTROL PANEL, I CAN SEE THAT IT INSTALLED ON MY FTP END, AND FROM MY CONTROL PANEL I CAN GO TO OSC CONFIGURATION, I HAVE THE OPTION TO SET WEBSITES NAME, EMAIL ADDRESS, CASH, CREDIT, PAYMENT INFORMATION ETC.... AND ALL THAT STUFF. WHATS MY NEXT STEP, HOW IN THE WORLD DO I LINK ALL THIS TO MY SITE???? THANKS CHUCK AND YOLONDA
chfields
OSC is a stand alone cart and store. You would need to add your products to OSC
chuck
:) ok thank you,I see that it is a stand alone site now, can someone tell me if I need to set up my own virtual directory and start my own php script to my own cart on my ftp end in order to use my own site and its own add to cart??? And if so can you walk me through some of the steps or do you know of any great info sites to learn how to do this. I use Adobe Golive 6 it tells me some stuff. Is this the route I should go instead of OSC?? Thanks Chuck and Yolonda
jpf
If you have an existing "about us" site then all you have to to is ADD a link on your pages to your "Shop On-line" to http://www.granburyfloral.com/catalog/ (assuming this is where it is installed.) There is a ton of information here. You might want to read some of the current docs at the Wiki site (link above). Good Luck!
