Installation Instructions ?

Hi,

 

I am trying to install oscommerce-2.2ms2 on my home PC which is running Windows XP Pro and IIS.

 

I have successfully installed Apache Server 2.0.48. The install instructions that were included with oscommerce say to do the following:

 

"3. Using your favourite browser, go to the following address:

 

http://[your site]/catalog/install

 

and follow the instructions on the screen."

 

I have done the above, but see no instructions on the screen; all I see is a page entitled "Index of /catalog/install" with a listing of the contents of that directory.

 

I tried opening the install.php file listed on the screen, but a run window with a 100% progress bar flashed by in less than a second and I can see nothing on my PC indicating that anything was installed.

 

Help !

 

I have lived most of my life in the client/server/windows/world, so please don't assume I know anything about this web/apache/os world.

Try opening index.php instead.

or use www.yoursite.com/catalog/install/install.php to start it up
