Guest
Hi - My client sells gift baskets online. She would like the customer to be able to choose: 1) colour of wrapping 2) ribbons or bows for decoration. I was thinking of adding these options using a pull down list in the checkout_shipping.php page. Has anyone done this before so I could see your example ? Is there an option in the oscommerce to be able to 'add' this type of user input ? I added my choices to it's own database table and tried to emulate the pull down menu for the manufacturers list - however I can get it working. ANY advice/help/examples would be much appreciated! dave
Aalst
Well as I like to inform anyone looking for contribs and tips etc.. to search the Contribs area and the forums FIRST. Almost 90% of the time they will find what they are looking for without posting to asking for it. Then let people know that you already did this when you post, so they know you at least tried, and it doesn't exist or you just didn't find it. People will be more willing to help you if you show that you tried to help yourself first. Also be very specific in your TOPIC TITLE and Sub-Title. Something like "Looking for Gift Wrap checkout contib" will help people focus there attentions. The main OSC Contrib area is: http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions There is a GiftWrap Contrib you may want to check out, it does basicly what you are descibing... This contrib it located at: http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,1155 Or just search for Gift Wrap and it will come up. :)
