Dead/Invalid Customers?

Okay, I have 3000 listed customers. I have 1850 that have placed orders. That means I have 1150 who have not. Of these I have been able to determine that I have about 350 who have carts in the system. That leaves about 800 customer accounts that were created that have no carts and have no purchases.

This is after 5 months. I really don't want to see what this looks like when it's been 2 years!

So, what I need is a tool that allows me to:

1) View all customers that have acounts that have not ordered or placed something in a cart

This should show the date created, e-mail and phone number, if they subscribe and if they have been contacted through the tool

2) View all customers that have not ordered but have items in their carts and are over X days old

This should show all the above, plus the cart contents and if I have contacted them with the RCS tool.

From the report I should be able to

1) delete customer record

(and if there is a cart, remove the cart records as well)

2) contact the customer via e-mail (see RCS tool) and record the contact

Let's be honest, we all know that there is no "customer" by the name of DFG DFG, so we should have a way, besides manual removal, to clean out the customer list.

Has anyone made this tool yet?

If this tool were made, would you be interested in using it?

I am still working on my OSC site but it's almost ready (about 4 weeks). I am very interested in examining and profiling my customers as you seem to be and a tool like this would be useful and will be the sort of thing I will be looking at making once my store goes up.

I have been running an online shop for 12 months now (www.modyourcar.com) and I am now rebuilding it into an OSC site which really enhances my offering to my customers, I am really looking forward to releasing it!!!

NOTE: As of Oct 2006, I'm not as active in this forum as I used to be, but I still work with osC quite a bit.

If you have a question about any of my posts here, your best bet is to contact me though either Email or PM in my profile, and I'll be happy to help.

  • 1 month later...

well, it's about 1/2 way there... Unfortunately reality sunk in and I had to sell and run the store, and then write applications for $$$$ so my needs have been in the back seat for about six weeks. I look forward to getting everything back on track in the next two or three weeks and getting back to this (which is about 25% written).
