Admin login showing Var names, not values

After running the installation, I see that the catalog is working fine but I cannot log intot he MS2-MAX admin area. The login box shows this as the heading:

HEADING_RETURNING_ADMIN

ENTRY_PASSWORD

Yes, that's right. The form field header is showing up as what looks like to be the variable name, and not the actual variable value. What could be wrong here?

 

Any insights would be helpful. I can delete the db and do a reinstall to see if that works but I don't think I did anything wrong.

Its an error in your language files.

Hey, Thanks for the tip. I copied over the language files once again and voi-la! I'm loggin right in and on my way to be a first-time osCommerce admin.

 

I did laugh when I typed the stupid user phrase: "I don't think I did anything wrong". hehehe.
