facasplaca
Hi everyone, I have a problem concernig taxes - we have here in Ontario 2 taxes, 1 is 7%, another 8%. How can I implement 2 boxes for taxes when customer picks-up goods (netto price) and is it possible at all? Example: price is: $100 first tax: $7 second tax: $8 all together: $
Jeremy at oddly enough
I think you want to set up one tax zone for all of Canada, open the Canada folder and select all regions, at 7% called GST, then set up another tax zone for Canada, open the folder and select Ontario only, at 8% and call it PST or whatever it is. Jeremy at oddly enough
Oh and I'm pretty sure there's a setting somewhere that controls whether the taxes are compounded or not, and you want it set so they're not. I'm not that familiar with the tax setup yet, so you might want to do a search for +compound +tax to check it out.

moose
Thank you for the input and instructions I'm having a little problem though. It seems to be adding GST on shipping very well when ordering from Ontario but does not add GST to shipping when ordering from, for eg, Quebec. I can't seem to fix it either. Pls help
jpf
GST has to be for "CANADA" not just for "Ontario" More specifically GST @ 7% for 'Ontraio, Quebec, Manitoba, Saskchewan, Alberta, British Columbia, Naivit, Yukon, Northern Teritriories, Prince Edward Island' And HST @ 15% for 'Newfoundland, Labrador, Nova Scotia' Make sure you setup the "Sub Zones" If you follow the instruction CAREFULLY it should work. Jeremy at oddly enough
On a related but slightly different note, have you installed the Canada Post contrib? I did, and it gives rates with in Canada that are very close, but not quite right, as compared to their on site rate calculator. Jeremy

Thank you for this, it is great. Only thing - I cannot see taxes on shipping separately, but total amount is OK.
moose
Actually I did follow the instructions carefully, and I have 10 sub-zones. The GST adds up perfectly on orders outside of Ontario on the 'Products' but nothing happens for the shipping???
