MSfreedom Posted November 27, 2003 Posted November 27, 2003 Hi All, I am running oscommerce 2.2 MS1 I have finally had a visit from Google to my site to different pages, details below: Session ID User Shopping Cart Guest, 1ac6c5dd563188fb9625d9ecbf549753, [delete session], [view session] Click Count: 1 Start Time: 00:00:20 Idle Time: 22:46:48 End Time: 00:00:20 Total Time: 08:00:00 Country: United States IP Address: 64.68.80.29 Host: crawl22.googlebot.com Originating URL: Session ID User Shopping Cart Guest, 60de8d48491e30c4b42ad4840451af72, [delete session], [view session] Click Count: 1 Start Time: 23:17:28 Idle Time: 23:29:40 End Time: 23:17:28 Total Time: 08:00:00 Country: United States IP Address: 64.68.80.10 Host: crawl22.googlebot.com Originating URL: Session ID User Shopping Cart Guest, db07c6117cb0521d59d5795cdf2e117a, [delete session], [view session] Click Count: 1 Start Time: 22:59:55 Idle Time: 23:47:13 End Time: 22:59:55 Total Time: 08:00:00 Country: United States IP Address: 64.68.80.62 Host: crawl24.googlebot.com Originating URL: The problem is that the bot has created session IDs even though I have installed the contribution Spider Killer. I have done a link search for my site but it still does not appear in Google or any other search engine for that matter. Will my site be listed later or will I have to ensure that sessions are not created? Thanks
wizardsandwars Posted November 27, 2003 Posted November 27, 2003 Getting listed isnt the problem. You just don't want your listings to have SIDs in them. If Google is getting SIDs, then you've got a problem. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- NOTE: As of Oct 2006, I'm not as active in this forum as I used to be, but I still work with osC quite a bit. If you have a question about any of my posts here, your best bet is to contact me though either Email or PM in my profile, and I'll be happy to help.
Guest Posted November 27, 2003 Posted November 27, 2003 I just installed this and it works, i have the ms 2.2 version and after running my favorite analyzer program I have no oscids after the Urls i read the instructions took only 5 min to do if that. i downloaded the 1.2 version http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,952 I was just wondering do you have 'check SSL session Id' set to true in the Osc admin panel if so try turning it off.
