The shipping cost of course is dependent upon the size of the package, the weight of the package and the destination from the warehouse that the object is shipped from to the final package destination. The type of shipping... ie ups, fed-ex or freight shipper is also dependent on the size and weight of the packages. For this reason my client has to call in the order and get the shipping costs quoted to her over the phone so that she can then call the purchaser and let them know the shipping costs. This makes coding shipping in up front a virtual nightmare because if she quotes a fixed rate and the cost is more, she eats that.. and if it is less, the buyer needs to have money refunded. Sooooooo this long winded explanation of the problem.. now needs a suggestion from you all who are whizzes at all this stuff to tell me how the shipping can be added after the order is generated or how you would handle the shipping in this case.
