Redefine
I am assuming there is a formula for UK Shipping rates that you would put into the Shipping Table (the one that says - Shipping Table ..... The shipping cost is based on the total cost or weight of items. Example: 25:8.50,50:5.50,etc.. Up to 25 charge 8.50, from there to 50 charge 5.50, etc) Can someone please explain this to me? many thanks
sjd256
Just get a quote from whoever you are using to deliver your goods. Find out how much they charge for certain weights then add the price to the weights as you detailed above. Make sure that in your configuration that you have Tarre set to 0 and no delivery surcharge. You can also find some contributions for the Royal Mail Registered post, UPS and others that have the weights and prices already programmed. You may want to install them or stick to the one you've got. Add the weights to your products and that's it everything should work. Hope that helps Cheers Steve

Redefine
Are the weights displayed as kilos? and can you add half kilos?? Jeff
sjd256
The numer you enter into the items weight is just a number - it is not kilo's or grammes etc it is just a number. What you need to do is set the unit type in the shipping option of your choice. Edit the file in this directory: /catalog/includes/languages/english/modules/shipping/ then when you enter the weight in the product description you can enter for example 0.5 or 1 etc Hope you understand my bad instructions ;-) I am new to this as well!
