geronimo
I am brand new to the OSC community and could use a bit of help... Im setting up my shop and have run into a few probs. My Webpage If one were to click on "MY ACCOUNT", a security alert pops up with: "...problem with the sites security certificate" :D The security certificate is from a trusted certifying authority. :D The security certificate date is valid :( The name on the security certificate is invalid or does not match the name of the site. DO YOU WANT TO PROCEED? clicking yes brings up a page that cannot be found. clicking no does nothing, clicking view certificate brings up a prompt to configure or install certificate (I've played with this a lil and have noticed no difference). on my admin page for osComm, I notice that it tells me that I am NOT protected by a secure SSL connection. I am completely lost on what to do now with this... ___________________________________________________ other links that come up as "cannot find page": -LOGIN -CREATE ACCOUNT -CHECKOUT Also these links/pages when clicked come up blank: -NOTIFY OF UPDATES -WRITE REVIEW ___________________________________________________ Another thing Ive found while going over my site is when you add an item to the cart, it goes to a blank page. If you click the back button on the browser, it now shows the item in your cart....again, im lost on what to do here. I know it must seem alot to ask, but I really could use your thoughts on this. I've combed thru the diiferent forums but cannot find anything that will help. I may have missed one, if any one knows where to lead me in the right direction, or knows what my issue is, please, please help... If anyone needs, i can post my PHP's to dissect if it will help... geronimo
ok, after more scouring these forums, ive decided that I infact have done everything in my power corecctly. ;) ( I also did a basic install of OSC on a diff. site and am experiencing the same issues) there fore I must now assume, that it could be issues on my hosting company's side. When I contact them, what questions should i be asking. Do they need to have something enabled so I can process a shopping cart/sign up members, etc... please guys, im about to lose my mind.... btw, my hosting company put this blurb on their site; We only offer auto-installation and auto-configuration of OS Commerce but do not offer any kind of support. -now i am fearing that the company will not be very responsive to my inquires about OSC... your thoughts??? -Kevin
Vaughn
Hi Kevin, Not sure what the solution is, but from looking at your problem, it seems as if we have very similar one's http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=67862 What host are you with ? Guest
Make a static page called test.html; put it in your catalog directory; ask your host how to display it through SSL. From that info, we could advise you how to configure your site for SSL. In the meantime, I would try changing the line in includes/configure.php to say define('ENABLE_SSL', false); That will allow you to at least do testing. geronimo
Ok, so I contacted my hosting company and they informed me that I need to purchase SSL, which I am now looking into. however, I did as iiinetworks advised and "turned off" SSL and I still am finding a multitude of my pages not coming up. either blank or page cannot be found. If any one would care to look at my PHP, I would be more than willing... Also do i have to have SSL on my site to process orders? I noticed other OSC sites that dont appear to have it..... here is a complete list of pages that come up empty ..../ account.php account_edit.php account_edit_process.php account_history.php address_book.php address_bookprocess.php checkout_confirmation.php checkout_payment.php checkout_payment_address.php checkout_process.php checkout_shipping.php checkout_success.php create_account_process.php download.php loginbox.php password_forgotren.php privacy.php product_notificatins.php product_reviews.php product_reviews_info.php product_reviews_write.php redirect.php Please checkout my site www.propadprint.com and let me know any ideas that you guys/gals might have to fix it.... -Kevin
