Guest Posted November 25, 2003 Posted November 25, 2003 I am lucky enough to reside in Oregon where we have NO sales tax whatsoever. As such I want to remove sales tax all together or disable it. Currently the checkout page is showing up with a FL Sales Tax of %7 . I have removed all zones and I have searched and searched and I can't find a setting to dump this FLorida stuff. Thanks

Guest Posted November 26, 2003 Posted November 26, 2003 After reading another post about accessing the database to set true false values for displaying sales tax, I came up with a brainstorm and looked at the sales tax values in the database and found the culprit <_< Despite my removing all references to any tax zones, the database still held the data for FL from the default install :rolleyes: so I used PHPMyAdmin and deleted the entry completely. I may have castrated the dog to keep him from peeing on the floor :unsure: , but hey! it worked ;) . If anyone knows of another way :unsure:, I'd love to hear it for the sake of learning.
