cobram3
I just sent google my first data feed. I didn't see the brand part of it in their sample file though. Any input?
cgchris99
Here is the documentation I received via email from the Froogle Team. New Developments -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Brand Field In addition to the required fields in our data feed format, we also accept a number of optional fields. One field we strongly encourage you to use is the "brand" field to reference the brand, or manufacturer, of the product. Including brand in your data feed will help us recognize your products and present them more accurately. It will also help us find your products when users look for a brand name ? which may not appear in your product description. Brand is like any other field in your data feed. To add it to the file, just put it at the end of each row, separated by a tab from the previous field. If you're using Excel to create your feed, add a brand column after the existing columns. Some examples of products and their brand fields: name brand Wega 27" TV Sony Softball Glove Wilson ThinkPad T30 IBM If you decide to add the brand field to your data feed, simply make the changes and upload a new version of your feed. User Interface Enhancements You might have noticed that we've made some enhancements to Froogle, including an optional grid view, and a lefthand navigation bar that includes "sort by price" and "viewable categories." We've also created a new business-to-business section called "Business and Industry." Let us know what you think of these changes at [email protected].
