Purchase without account and repeat emails

Having a bit of a problem with the purchase without account feature.

 

It works great *except* for the following situation:

1. Put some stuff in your cart, go to checkout, select "purchase without account" enter your email "[email protected]". The purchase works fine.

 

2. Later, come back, and make another purchase with the same email "[email protected]". You will now get an error saying "password failed".

 

Since purchase without account is actually making accounts, I suppose this makes sense.

 

I can see one easy way to fix this: Just remove the check on the account to see if it's an existing one. However, I'm concerned this might have negative impacts I'm nothing thinking of.

 

Is there a problem with having multiple "accounts" with the same email address? (that would be the end result of this change). Considering these accounts would never be used again, I'd imagine it wouldn't matter, but I'm curious if anyone else has run into this problem or has a decent solution.
