richlewt Posted November 25, 2003 Posted November 25, 2003 Hi I am about to buy a digital certificate. If my website is http://www.mydomain.com Does it make any difference to have the certificate point to https://www.mydomain.com or https://mydomain.com? thanks Rich "May the seam be with you"
defender39 Posted November 25, 2003 Posted November 25, 2003 typically a ssl cert is www.yoursite.com you can set it in OSC that the SSL is www.yoursite.com
jpf Posted November 26, 2003 Posted November 26, 2003 The OTHER option - 'IF' your host allows is: https://secure.mydomain.com This tells EVERYONE WITHOUT A DOUBT that there in YOUR secure site. Other than that - I would do www.mydomain.com (not without the 'www.' part) Just my 2 cents worth...
