I am not totally sure what you are trying to do. Setting permissions would be giving user rights and abilities, in groups and such.

If you are trying to change the contents of your conditions, shipping, privacy, etc. you need to open "catalog/includes/language/english/"

Inside of that folder you shoudl see conditions.php, shipping.php, & privacy.php.

Open them up and on line 16 you should see something that says:

define('TEXT_INFORMATION', 'Put here your Privacy Notice information.');

Just put the information you want inside of the ' '

On a side note, you can use HTML in there too.

Do that for each document.

That part where it says 'Put here your Privacy Notice information.'

Replace everything in between the ' & '

If you erase those, it will screw up your index.php

Try and give that another shot. If that doesn't work, umm....next step.

I can see where I need to put my html text but it will not let me.

The red message in the box above says:

Error: I can not write to this file. Please set the right user permissions

I need to know how to set the right user permissions before it even allows me to put any html text.

Can you help?

Thanks,

Sherisse.

Are you using paid hosting or are you using free hosting?

If you are using paid hosting you need to contact your hosting provider and got proper login credentials.

If you are using some sort of free hosting, good luck = )
