peter-toronto Posted November 24, 2003 Posted November 24, 2003 Hi there: I have installed OSCommerce 2.2 MS2 and my store is not creating any Session ID. Is it going to create any problem for me? What's went wrong? How can I solve this problem? Any help is highly appreciated. best regards, Peter-Toronto --------------- peter-toronto
LiQuIdAiR Posted November 24, 2003 Posted November 24, 2003 if your store isn't creating session ids you probably don't have configure.php set to store them in a folder on server. Or you have them on the database.. If you can please give more details..
peter-toronto Posted November 24, 2003 Author Posted November 24, 2003 Thanks LiQuIdAiR. Yes, I configure to store them in Database while installation, I remember. So what should I do now? Thanks, Peter-Toronto --------------- peter-toronto
LiQuIdAiR Posted November 24, 2003 Posted November 24, 2003 are you receiving error msgs of any kind? The only thing i can think of at the moment is that there is something wrong with the table created to store the session id's.
peter-toronto Posted November 24, 2003 Author Posted November 24, 2003 No, I am not getting any error message. But I can n't see any session ID in my browser while browsing any link of products. http://www.micronetweb.ca/cat/ What should I do now? thanks. peter-toronto --------------- peter-toronto
LiQuIdAiR Posted November 24, 2003 Posted November 24, 2003 http://www.micronetweb.ca/cat/index.php?cP...91c4bc5d1507a1b i received a session id... Maybe your internet settings are set to high...just a wild guess
peter-toronto Posted November 24, 2003 Author Posted November 24, 2003 But surprisingly I have set-up another web site with OS Commerce V2.2 MS2 and browsing from same computer with same IE5.5 browser is creating Session ID. But not my site www.micronetweb.ca/cat/ . I do n't know why? Thanks. peter-toronto --------------- peter-toronto
LiQuIdAiR Posted November 24, 2003 Posted November 24, 2003 On some servers there are options that allow an admin to not show a session ID, maybe your server is setup that way..Most of the time they do that for security issues..
peter-toronto Posted November 24, 2003 Author Posted November 24, 2003 Yes, that may the reason, I cannot see any SessionID...but is it going to create any problem for me? peter-toronto --------------- peter-toronto
LiQuIdAiR Posted November 24, 2003 Posted November 24, 2003 Do this... If you have access to check the actuall database information.. Close all brower windows, then enter back onto your site. Look around alittle then go to your mysql database and check to see if it logged your information.. If it did..then no there is no problem, if it didn't then i would say it is.. Ill take a look around on your site and inform you if i see anything that might cause a problem..
LiQuIdAiR Posted November 24, 2003 Posted November 24, 2003 your shopping cart stored the product information even when i exited the store and entered again...Everything on my end seems to work..
peter-toronto Posted November 24, 2003 Author Posted November 24, 2003 I appreciate your suggestion. Yes please, if you can observe any abnormality and report them here. Thanks a lot. --------------- peter-toronto
