Problem with Session ID

Hi there:

 

I have installed OSCommerce 2.2 MS2 and my store is not creating any Session ID. Is it going to create any problem for me? What's went wrong? How can I solve this problem?

if your store isn't creating session ids you probably don't have configure.php set to store them in a folder on server. Or you have them on the database..

 

 

If you can please give more details..

are you receiving error msgs of any kind?

 

The only thing i can think of at the moment is that there is something wrong with the table created to store the session id's.

No, I am not getting any error message. But I can n't see any session ID in my browser while browsing any link of products.

i received a session id...

 

Maybe your internet settings are set to high...just a wild guess

But surprisingly I have set-up another web site with OS Commerce V2.2 MS2 and browsing from same computer with same IE5.5 browser is creating Session ID. But not my site www.micronetweb.ca/cat/ . I do n't know why?

On some servers there are options that allow an admin to not show a session ID, maybe your server is setup that way..Most of the time they do that for security issues..

Yes, that may the reason, I cannot see any SessionID...but is it going to create any problem for me?

Do this...

 

If you have access to check the actuall database information..

 

Close all brower windows, then enter back onto your site. Look around alittle then go to your mysql database and check to see if it logged your information..

 

If it did..then no there is no problem, if it didn't then i would say it is..

 

Ill take a look around on your site and inform you if i see anything that might cause a problem..

your shopping cart stored the product information even when i exited the store and entered again...Everything on my end seems to work..
