boat42
Hello. I am trying to locally install osCommerce 2.2ms2 on a Win XP Pro machine. I am running php 4.3.4, mysql 4.0.15 and IIS 5.1. I believe PHP and MySql are running fine because I can write php pages that can access the database. The problem that I am having with osCommerce is in step 7. I keep getting this error: Warning: fopen(c:/inetpub/wwwroot/ecomt/catalog/includes/configure.php): failed to open stream: Permission denied in c:\inetpub\wwwroot\ecomt\catalog\install\templates\pages\install_7.php on line 209 Warning: fputs(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in c:\inetpub\wwwroot\ecomt\catalog\install\templates\pages\install_7.php on line 210 Warning: fclose(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in c:\inetpub\wwwroot\ecomt\catalog\install\templates\pages\install_7.php on line 211 Warning: fopen(c:/inetpub/wwwroot/ecomt/catalog/admin/includes/configure.php): failed to open stream: Permission denied in c:\inetpub\wwwroot\ecomt\catalog\install\templates\pages\install_7.php on line 259 Warning: fputs(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in c:\inetpub\wwwroot\ecomt\catalog\install\templates\pages\install_7.php on line 260 Warning: fclose(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in c:\inetpub\wwwroot\ecomt\catalog\install\templates\pages\install_7.php on line 261 I have searched the forums on this topic and found that I need to change my permission levels. So I right clicked on the catalog/includes/configure.php and selected properties. In that menu, I selected (turned on) 'script source access', 'read', 'write', and 'log visits'. I also did the same for catalog/admin/includes/configure.php. I still got the same error. I tried with having everything selected except 'script source access' and I still get the same error. I have tried every combination. And I made sure that 'iusr_mymachine' has rights for these files. However, I keep getting the sams results in step 7. Can somebody please help me? This is driving me nuts. A quick question: should I be installing 2.2ms2 or 2.2cvs?
jpf
Use MS2 - not (the current) CVS as this will break most contributions - use MS2 untill some time after MS3 comes out.... ON NTFS drives you need to set USER SERCURITY permmision for the "IUSR" - do a search here with this and my handle as the user name....
