Cheryl, if you click on the 'wiki effort' link at the top right hand corner of this page you can download and print out heaps of instructions for making different modifications. There is some great stuff here ;) Hope this helps!

getting the OSCommerce shopping cart system up and running is very very easy..Unless of course your dealing with a self-served Apache, or your own server i guess you would say..

Live site...

Load all files to the server (using an FTP program, i would hope >:) then navigate to your URL, i.e. http://yoururlhere.com/index.php the installation process will kick in and ask you basic questions. Alot of the times the PHP scripts will read the information for you.. The only thing you have to worry about is if the MySQL database is setup before you try and install the shopping cart system. Since of course the PHP will not have nothing to write to...Try MySQLAdmin2.5.4 I believe this is the latest version...

Setup the Mysql server with access with a username and password. create a database with the database name of your choosing, i.e. TESTDATABASE once you complete that you can go back to the installation of the cart. Once it asks you for your MySQL Server information simply enter in the SERVER URL and usernamd and password and BOOM the cart will write to the database for you...

MySQLAdmin allows you to control the BACK-END of the shopping cart system. Allowing you to manage database content...

Hope im being helpful
