:unsure:

Hi all, I am having problems when the default page (home) loads for the first time, the footer does not appear on the bottom of the page but to the right of the right side boxes. The problem corrects it self when I reload the page on the browser.

how can I correct this problem so the banner and copyright info appear correctly at the bottom of the page without reloading.

Thanks!

I have the same problem, but it only occurs when I click on the 'My Account' link. I have read other forums and still cannot figure this out. I checked the catalog/.htaccess and it already shows this

#<IfModule mod_php4.c>

# php_value session.use_trans_sid 0

# php_value register_globals 1

#</IfModule>

Am I missing something, any suggestions?

I changed the .htaccess file to this:

#<IfModule mod_php4.c>

php_value session.use_trans_sid 0

# php_value register_globals 1

#</IfModule>

now i'm getting this error when trying to load the page:

error 500: Internal Server Error

The server encountered an unexpected condition which prevented it from fulfilling the request.

Did I do something wrong?

I edited the .htaccess file to:

<IfModule mod_php4.c>

php_value session.use_trans_sid 0

# php_value register_globals 1

</IfModule>

and the problem still persists where the footer loads to the right side and not below.

I did edit the login.php file where I commented out this line to make it secure as follows:

<!-- <base href="<?php echo (($request_type == 'SSL') ? HTTPS_SERVER : HTTP_SERVER) . DIR_WS_CATALOG; ?>"> //-->

Did I do something else wrong?

I really appreciate all your asssistance!!!

This was answered here today - and numerous times elsewhere

Usually there is a FAQ for questions like that. In this case we are beyond the "frequently asked" point, but you could still call it a FAQ: Frequently Answered Questions :D .

marco,

Have you tried adding the following line at the beginning of /includes/application_top.php:

ini_set ( 'session.use_trans_sid', 0);

That *may* solve your problems.

HTH

Cheers

Steve

Hey Paul, I have read that link but wasn't sure on how to uncomment that line.  According to Matti I thought I was doing something wrong.  The problem still persists??

Hoi Marco,

I really don't know anything about the workaround, it should work of course but I don't know how.

But if we are talking about the same problem your current PHP version is 4.3.1, and the best solution would be to upgrade to PHP 4.3.2 or higher.

Hey steve, where in application_top.php do i add

ini_set ( 'session.use_trans_sid', 0);

???

I tried adding it in here but the problem is still ongoing?

// set the session cookie parameters
  if (function_exists('session_set_cookie_params')) {
   session_set_cookie_params(0, $cookie_path, $cookie_domain);
 } elseif (function_exists('ini_set')) {
   ini_set('session.cookie_lifetime', '0');
   ini_set('session.cookie_path', $cookie_path);
   ini_set('session.cookie_domain', $cookie_domain);
   ini_set ( 'session.use_trans_sid', 0);
 }

Paul, my hosting company (1and1.com) is still using PHP Version 4.2.3, i wish they were using the newer version... :(

In includes/footer.php, just add a </table> on about line 15. It should go between the initial <?php ?> block and the first <table> tag in the file, like shown below:

<?php
//...
require(DIR_WS_INCLUDES . 'counter.php');
?>
</TABLE> <?php /* THIS IS THE TABLE TAG TO ADD */ ?>
<table border="0" width="100%" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="1">[/

This FIX WORKS WITH NO PROBLEM USE IT!!!
