Digatle Posted November 21, 2003 Posted November 21, 2003 I'm running osC over our intranet. Its true name is http://shop. Cookies do NOT work in force mode unless I put a "fake" FQDN to it like shop.domain.com. Cookies work then. Is there a way to JUST use http://shop? Digatle
mortsahl Posted November 21, 2003 Posted November 21, 2003 In short, no. Cookies can only be read by the domain that sets them. If there is no domain, no cookie. You might take a look at the Unofficial Cookie FAQ at http://www.cookiecentral.com/faq/#1.4
Digatle Posted November 21, 2003 Author Posted November 21, 2003 So what if our domain is just the name http://shop? Or are we talking our Active Directory here? Is there another way not to use cookies that we could do then? Digatle
Digatle Posted November 21, 2003 Author Posted November 21, 2003 OK Here's something new for you. I have a modified header with our menu on it. If I "stay" within the osC code I'm able to "keep" my cookie no problem. But for some reason when I go the "index" of my site it looses the cookie. It's like it looses the sessionID (This is with Cookies Forced as "false"). Digatle
