dmarre
I have recently installed the Live Customer Support Chat 2.0 by denis. The issues that i'm having are fairly simple: 1. When setting up the php file which corresponds with your server, icq, database name, etc.. settings, how do your place your ICQ ID, with or with out dashes? 2.When I enter the required line in column_right.php i get a Live Support box (which is what i'm suppose to see if all files are unzipped and values entered correclty) on the right side of my cart. The only problem is that it has a square with an x on the upper left as if it missing an image. When i click the box i get a new window but displays page could not be found. Why is that? 3.I have firewalls on between my servers. Do i need to open a port to allow ICQ to communicate with my site? If so what port? 4.As far as requirements to make this work, just for my info because i didn't see this on any readme files from the contribution, ICQ must be logged on and running for this to work? The chat database was created. As far as java, is that a completely different program that has to be installed, or is that stating that the server must be java compliant? All this contributions are great an work very well. I love the live support chat contribution, it would greatly increase my customer support level. This is why i would like to work. Thank you very much for all your views on this topic.
jackof
I dont think this contribution works anymore. Heard icq recently changed the pager feature and thats probably the reason it doesn't work. Neways m not sure bout it Warm Regards, Jack
dmarre
Thanks for the info. I will check to see if there is another method for live support. Maybe there is another contribution that works differently.
