Changing the login script

Is there any way of changing what the screen says when you login?

instead of Welcome back xxx,

can we make it say soemthing more interesting about when they last shopped, maybe "you last logged in on xx/xx/xxxx" or "you've now shopped xx times"

I know the file can be edited through includes/languages/english.php but I just don't know the code to call up this info. It must be stored somewhere because it shows it in the admin pages for the customers account.

Thanks

that's not really the problem.

What I want to do is customerise my store. I know the info is held somewhere in the SQL database for last login and number of logins. it shows it in the admin section.

All i want to do is to bring that info to the front page of the store so as someone logs in it doesn;t just use a boring message saying welcome back, it would say "welcome back you last login was ...."

Any ideas?
