All links not working

all category links and product links not working.. after looking at the code i see that it looks like the "=" character is turning in "/" .. how is this happening?

 

for example the first category link is now "http://www.beanbagplanet.com/catalog/index.php/cPath/1" and it should be

"http://www.beanbagplanet.com/catalog/index.php/cPath=1"

 

a product link is now: "http://www.beanbagplanet.com/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/8"

 

it shoudl be "http://www.beanbagplanet.com/catalog/product_info.php/products_id=8"

 

i have the simple template system installed.. could this be causing the problem?

 

PLease help.. this makes no sense that all the = are being replaced with /
