There are probably neater ways, but I tend to use a meta refresh to send my visitors where I want them to go -

so the file:

http://www.mysite.com/index.html

contains:

<HTML>

<HEAD>

<META HTTP-EQUIV="Refresh" CONTENT="1;URL=http://www.mysite.com/oscommerce/index.php">

</HEAD>

</HTML>

and will direct anyone who goes to mysite.com to mysite.com/oscommerce/index.php

Well, this way will work, however you will find it much more difficult to get indexed in the seach engines this way.

Seach Engines do not like redirects.

Much better to use either an index.php that 'includes' or 'headers' your main page, use that htaccess method, or install the cart in the root directory. Personally, I prefer the last method.

NOTE: As of Oct 2006, I'm not as active in this forum as I used to be, but I still work with osC quite a bit.

If you have a question about any of my posts here, your best bet is to contact me though either Email or PM in my profile, and I'll be happy to help.
