Hello Everybody,

I just installed OSC2.MS2 and have a problem. On the shop public area I get an error header message :

Warning: open_basedir restriction in effect. File is in wrong directory in /usr/local/www/data.users/passionvoitures.com/www/shop/catalog/includes/header.php on line 15

Warning: open_basedir restriction in effect. File is in wrong directory in /usr/local/www/data.users/passionvoitures.com/www/shop/catalog/includes/header.php on line 22

Warning: open_basedir restriction in effect. File is in wrong directory in /usr/local/www/data.users/passionvoitures.com/www/shop/catalog/includes/header.php on line 30

?Warning: The sessions directory does not exist: /tmp. Sessions will not work until this directory is created?.

I tried many things to fix this problem, without any result. If anyone can help me great thanks !!!!!

Hi Johnson,

Thanks a lot for the help. Your script mod solved my session directory problem.

I still have a header message :

Warning: open_basedir restriction in effect. File is in wrong directory in /usr/local/www/data.users/passionvoitures.com/www/shop/catalog/includes/header.php on line 15

Warning: open_basedir restriction in effect. File is in wrong directory in /usr/local/www/data.users/passionvoitures.com/www/shop/catalog/includes/header.php on line 22

But now the shop works ! I'm gonna try to fix the other warning problem.

Thanks again

Hello,

I have ran into the same problem.

Warning: is_dir() [function.is-dir]: open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/tmp) is not within the allowed path(s): (/home/virtual/site6/fst/tmp) in /home/virtual/site6/fst/var/www/html/catalog/includes/header.php on line 30

I am installing OS Commerce on a virtual site.

I edited the file

/etc/httpd/conf/site6/php

To add /tmp to the open_basedir directive.

I then re-start apache.

However, this has not fixed the issue.

Although OS Commerce supports storing sessions in MySQL, a real solution needs posted for this issue.
