dkap
I've been looking to do the same thing and have been surprised how little mention there is in the forums of disabling the newsletter. It's easy enough to comment out the newsletter section (CATEGORY_OPTIONS) toward the bottom of create_account.php, but there are still a lot of newsletter references that spring up in various places, such as the My Account page. It would be nice to have a configuration option for turning the overall newsletter system on or off. I found these threads just now that might be of help: http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=41376 http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=34629 Amazingly, those are the only 2 I found! Guest
Is there no solution for this yet? I need the same and the above two links do not really help.

dkap
That looks to be the same "fix" as I referred to above. More of a band-aid than anything; doesn't cover all the occurrences. Dan
