Check the contributions (Features and Other) under SMTP w/ authentication. Generally, this is called authentication, not certification.

thx!!

but - i tryed to install this contribution http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,901

i uploaded the class.smtp.inc to catalog/includes/classes/ and changed the email.php file:

if (EMAIL_TRANSPORT == 'smtp') {

// begin

include(DIR_WS_INCLUDES . '/classes/class.smtp.inc');

$params['host'] = 'smtp.poczta.onet.pl'; // The smtp server host/ip

$params['port'] = 25; // The smtp server port

$params['helo'] = '[email protected]'; // What to use when sending the helo command. Typically, your domain/hostname

$params['auth'] = TRUE; // Whether to use basic authentication or not

$params['user'] = '[email protected]'; // Username for authentication

$params['pass'] = 'XXX'; // Password for authentication

$send_params['recipients'] = array("$to_addr");

// The recipients (can be multiple)

$send_params['headers'] = array("From: your email address ", "To: $to_addr", "Subject: $subject");

$send_params['from'] = '[email protected]';

// This is used as in the MAIL FROM: cmd // It should end up as the Return-Path: header

$send_params['body'] = "$this->output";

// The body of the email

is_object($smtp = smtp::connect($params)) AND $smtp->send($send_params);

// end the smtp

return mail($to_addr, $subject, $this->output, 'From: ' . $from . $this->lf . 'To: ' . $to . $this->lf . implode($this->lf, $this->headers) . $this->lf . implode($this->lf, $xtra_headers));

} else {

return mail($to, $subject, $this->output, 'From: '.$from.$this->lf.implode($this->lf, $this->headers).$this->lf.implode($this->lf, $xtra_headers));

}

}

/**

after that i tryed to buy sth in my shop buti recive fatal error-

"Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class smtp in /webs/mora/public_html/catalog/includes/classes/class.smtp.inc on line 12 "

 $params['helo'] = '[email protected]';

I'm not sure that an @ is allowable here. It's looking for your domain name, e.g. store.yourdomain.com.

Perhaps you could ask your host about the authentication? Is it communicating with the server? What's happening? Errors?
