How to make 'search' search descriptions

i've taken advanced search off but want the standard quick search to search descriptions automatically? does anyone know how to set this up?

This is the line from my advanced_search that calls for the search in item descriptions (osC 2.2 Dec 2002)

$info_box_contents[] = array('align' => 'right', 'text' => tep_draw_checkbox_field('search_in_description', '1', true) . ' ' . TEXT_SEARCH_IN_DESCRIPTION);

If you don't want the checkbox, you should be able to change it to:

$info_box_contents[] = array('align' => 'right', 'text' => tep_draw_hidden_field('search_in_description', '1', true));

or something similar to have it always search in the descriptions

 

(I have not tested this, so just use it as a guideline)

... if you want to REALLY see something that doesn't set up right out of the box without some tweaking,

try being a Foster Parent!
