heliosquare Posted October 12, 2003 Posted October 12, 2003 I've modified the XMember discount contribution to provide 4 tiers of discounts based on a set of criteria. The original code simply provided one discount percentage which could be turned on or off per customer. My modifications base discounts on the sum of each customer's total orders. The higher the sum, the higher the discount (in other words - customers are given the oppotunity to "earn" discounts simply by placing more orders). The discounts are given automatically at checkout. There are 4 tiers. Once the criteria for tier 1 have been met and surpassed, the customer moves on to tier 2...and so on. All values are controlled via Admin. It is important to note that once a customer reaches a tier and earns a discount, they will get that discount on every order they place. It is not just a one time thing. I mention this as important since this kind of discounting may not be suitable for some business models. I wrote this for me (my business) and obviously this works for my business model. I wanted to know if anyone is interested in the code before I take the time to put together a contribution. I have no problem doing so as long as there is interest... Quote Do you ship UPS?
