Changing Text Box Width

Recommended Posts

I need to change the length of the fields where people enter their E-mail address and password so that it's shorter. The code I have is this:

<?php echo tep_draw_form('login', tep_href_link(FILENAME_LOGIN, 'action=process', 'SSL')); ?>
<b>Login</b><br>
<?php echo tep_draw_input_field('email_address'); ?><b> E-mail</b><br>
<?php echo tep_draw_password_field('password'); ?><b> Password</b><br>
<b><?php echo '<a href="' . tep_href_link(FILENAME_PASSWORD_FORGOTTEN, '', 'SSL') . '">' . 'Need help?' . '</a>'; ?></b><br>
<?php echo tep_image_submit('button_login.gif', IMAGE_BUTTON_LOGIN); ?>
</form>

Where can I edit the tep_draw_form or tep_draw_input_field or tep_draw_password_field to reflect a smaller width?

Thanks!

you can change these in values in includes/functions/html_output.php

I wanted to do the same but didn't want the changes reflected in all fields, so added the following to that html_output.php

////

// Output a text field with 8

function tep_draw_text8_field($name, $value = '', $parameters = 'size="8" & maxlength="8"') {

return tep_draw_input_field($name, $value, $parameters);

}

////

// Output a text field with 10

function tep_draw_text10_field($name, $value = '', $parameters = 'size="10" & maxlength="10"') {

return tep_draw_input_field($name, $value, $parameters);

}

and so on.....

then change the function calling these fields from:

<?php echo tep_draw_input_field('email_address'); ?><b> E-mail</b><br>

to:

<?php echo tep_draw_text10_field('email_address'); ?><b> E-mail</b><br>

you should get the idea....
