SSL always comes up

the problem i am having is everytime i enter my siteit always goes through my SSL i dont want that i only want to use my SSL for ordering purposes not for logging on and off or anything else how can i fix this i thought i fixed it in the english/index.php file but it still does it

it uses SSL to order and also to create an acct or to log on... it shouldn't otherwise.

 

Paste your configure.php file without usernames and passwords so we can take a peak.

So you want to pass the username and password and other details in plain text? To quote (or at least paraphrase) The_Bear, "I would not put my personal details into a form that was not secure."

 

The behavior is correct. With ENABLE_SSL true, all private pages (i.e. pages where the customer enters personal information) should be secure. To change this behavior, you would have to go through all the files and change the tep_href_link call by removing the 'SSL' wherever you don't want the page to be secure.

no that isnt what im talking about when you first go to the page it shouldnt automaticly bring me to the secure server
