doing that won't make any difference to Google, what you want to do is strip out the session id's from the site URL and get rid of the redirect on the home page redirects me from here http://www.mod-chip.co.za ...to here http://www.mod-chip.co.za/catalog/index.php .. if you can't get rid of it that make it a 301 redirect...

that will definetly improve your google rank...

If i can do this then i will get a higher Page score on google

This is false. In fact, doing this would cause Google to only index your one main default page, and not any of your product or category pages.

Also false. Google does not like redirects.

How do i get rid of session id's in url ?

The easiest way is to force cookies in the store config section.

That way, all the session info is stored in the cookie on the users PC.

Only issue is if a customer has cookies turned off

Hi everyone.

I also want to get rid of the session id's from url shown in the address bar. However I do not want to force cookies. Is there another way?

Thanks!
