Removing options on main page of shop

Pat in a Hat

Recommended Posts

I am trying to configure a new store but don't need all of the options in the sample provided by my hosting service. I want to eliminate some of the things like Review, What's new, etc. Where can I find some directions on how to chage these things and what files need to be edited? I know that if I remove the lines of code, there still might be references in other files that need to be changed as well.

You can go into catalog/includes column_left and just uncomment the boxes you don't want

for example

//require(whats new)

Same with column_right

To eliminate the review button you can make a copy of pixel_trans.gif, copy it into the catalog/includes/languages/english/images/buttons file and rename it button_reviews.gif and delete the original button_reviews.gif
