Howdy all,

I need to know how I can either change th URL that the HOME links to or remove the HOME from the breadcrumb trail altogether.

Thanks!

Do yuo mean "top"?? That is controlled by the config files

Hi,

Yes, I mean Top in the part that shows like this: Top >> Catalog >> Category

Is there a way to REMOVE just the [Top] selection?? I have two stores running on one domain and each has it's own dir and database, but I do not want the 2nd store to go to the main index page, but rather to a sub dir. How can I accomplish this?

Thanks,

Kevin ;)

look at includes/application_top.php

emiliano

Hi,

I went through there and did not see any place to change or remove that link. I would be happy if I can just make that not clickable!! <_<

Thanks,

Kevin

define('HEADER_TITLE_CHECKOUT', 'Checkout');

define('HEADER_TITLE_TOP', 'Top');

define('HEADER_TITLE_LOGOFF', 'Log Off');

define('HEADER_TITLE_LOGIN', 'Log In');

Hi Craig,

That just changes the name that shows on the screen. I need to change the URL it goes to or to remove it from the navigation. :-(

Thanks Anyway,

Kevin

open file

/catalog/includes/application_top.php

find the line (around line 466 in a vanilla installation)

 $breadcrumb->add(HEADER_TITLE_TOP, HTTP_SERVER);

and comment it out.

done.

regards

ralf

sometimes I change code before reading the comments, sometimes code doesn't even have comments, sometimes I rechange code after I read the code others wrote :-)

Bless you!!

I assume that I can also just change the HTTP_SERVER to "http://www.mydomain.com" and have it go to that url as well.

Thanks for showing me where that was. I would never have found it. :-(
