Hi,

It is me again. :rolleyes:

This page contains secure and nonsecure items

Do you want to display the nonsecure items?

It is from the banners on the bottom of the page and only when someone in logged in.

How do I stop it without turning off the banner, it is very annoying

Hello,

Well... NO, it does not have a checkbox!

And that would not fix the problem...

I had the same type of problem but I had a header background gif and for some reason when it switches to https mode the background gif still stays as http ?? so I changed it in my header and made the URL use https and it works fine now ?? very strange ??

When you get the non secure message it most likely means that an image file is being called by <img src="http://www.yourdomain.com"> when in https mode it has to be called by https and not plain http. So I would look in that direction.

Hi,

I see where that could work, but it did not work for me, (I tried it). I am calling a banner outside of my domain and that is what is causing the problem. I was hopping that someone found a way around this problem.

Thank you for your reply.

Same Problem , How to stop specific banners from showing in secure pages ??

Hi emetani,

For now I have turned off the banners. I have to put that on the back burner for now? I broke my store and I have been asking for help for a week and I have not had a reply, either no one knows or my ?invisible ink? works better then I thought.

I posted a message for help here:

First Request

But no respones... must be in the wrong forum?

Second Request

As for the banner problem?. I was hopping that someone would jump in with a suggestion? I think it would take someone that knows PHP to reconfigure the footer so it would not show banners when user is in secure pages? just my guess!

If you figure it out, please let me know.

Jim

It's the same technique as is used here.

Hth,

Matt

Hi Matt,

I just read that... and I was going to ask if that would work. :D

Thanks, I will give it a try!

Hi Matt,

This worked...

//JHT  hide certain infoboxes when in secure mode
//JHT require(DIR_WS_FUNCTIONS . 'banner.php');
if ($request_type != 'SSL')  require(DIR_WS_FUNCTIONS . 'banner.php');
if ($request_type != 'SSL')  tep_activate_banners();
if ($request_type != 'SSL')  tep_expire_banners();

It will not show any banners when in secure mode. :D

Thanks,

Jim

 tep_activate_banners();

}

would be shorter (no functional difference).

Cheers,

Matt

Hi Matt,

After a little more testing it developed a problem...

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: tep_banner_exists() in /home/ /public_html/catalog/includes/footer.php on line 77

So I added this to the footer.php...

//JHT  hide certain infoboxes when in secure mode
//JHT added...  if ($request_type != 'SSL')
if ($request_type != 'SSL')
 if ($banner = tep_banner_exists('dynamic', '468x50')) {

This is probable not the right way to do it (PHP), but it worked, banners work like they should.
