Selling Services as well as products

I am selling some services as well as products. I have been listing the service as a product but need to stop shipping charges being added to it when a customer orders the service. Any tips/hints would be appreciated.

 

Also is there a simple way to get some customer input, ie form based, into a specific product?

Try SEC addon which has amoung many other thing a "FREE" shipping mod that can be set for certain products (like for virtual products like downloads/services/hosting plans/memberships ect...)

Has online demo (admin and catalog). Test this "buy" trying it - You have to sign up for an account and "buy" it - it give "free shipping" and is no-charge - it will give you a link to download the file. Add any of the other "test" item into the cart and it will charge freight.

Thanks, looks like exactly what I want but after I installed it I got quite a few errors. Couldn't figure out what I did wrong, tried twice. Removed it now but I will try again another time once I get a bit more experienced.

its very important to throughly read all the readme files.

I read the readme files very carefully and followed the install instructions to the letter, but there where parts of the readme and install instructions that where confusing and that is where I must have gone wrong.
