whos online error with a much larger problem

I have searched and found that this was a common problem so I logged into phpmyadmin to find my database has NO tables :(

 

I am trying to find if my web guy has a back up but how can this happen?

 

if he has a back up how do I know it will not happen again and again?

 

I am so upset, I spent a lot of time getting the shop live for this to happen on our first day live :(

but I can log in via admin and view everything fine? Surely this is linked to the database?

I'd say do a search -- in the past two weeks about a dozen people have asked this question and received a response -- hint: it has to do with an upgrade by your ISP

omg, ok I am over having a heart attack.

 

My web guy did not tell me which database he was using so I logged on to the one I thought and it had no tables in it. t was actually using another database lol

 

I did the common fix and it works now. Phew.
