windows filenames cuts

Hello all,

I am trying to make a small extension to oscommerce for a specific need.

I am trying to upload a file from my windows workstation and the filename is cut to th first letter:

 

"C:aabbcc.txt" id read as "C"

I am using the same method is used in osc/categories.php (tep_draw_file_field and so on)

 

What am i doing wrong ? Perhaps I need to set something for filenames compatibility ?

 

Any help is appreciated.
