linparda Posted September 7, 2003 Posted September 7, 2003 Hi Everyone; Can someone shine a light on this error? This is what I get when I go to http://www.shampooshop.com/catalog - Warning: Unknown MySQL Server Host 'https' (1) in /home/httpd/vhosts/shampooshop.com/httpdocs/catalog/includes/functions/database.php on line 19 Warning: MySQL Connection Failed: Unknown MySQL Server Host 'https' (1) in /home/httpd/vhosts/shampooshop.com/httpdocs/catalog/includes/functions/database.php on line 19 Unable to connect to database server! Problem is I don't even know what path the' /home/httpd/vhosts' is! What is this and where does it come from and how can I get rid of it? Linda
Guest Posted September 7, 2003 Posted September 7, 2003 follow the instructions step by step. guessing doesn'st work.
linparda Posted September 8, 2003 Author Posted September 8, 2003 Actually, I have been - I've given up on the automatic install and now i'm doing a manual install - I've managed to get the database installed and I've changed the configure.php files in both catalog/includes and admin/includes. I still keep getting this error and I'm hoping someone will be able to tell me which line of code I need to change in order to get it to go to the database. It looks like it's just looking in the wrong place - how can I change this? BTW - are there instructions out there that I don't know about yet? Here's my new error: Warning: Unknown MySQL Server Host 'shampooshop.com/domains/databases/' (1) in /home/httpd/vhosts/shampooshop.com/httpdocs/catalog/includes/functions/database.php on line 19 Warning: MySQL Connection Failed: Unknown MySQL Server Host 'shampooshop.com/domains/databases/' (1) in /home/httpd/vhosts/shampooshop.com/httpdocs/catalog/includes/functions/database.php on line 19 Unable to connect to database server! Oh BTW - line 19 is the Cookie line for me - I've changed it a million times and I still get the exact same error. Linda
