PHP and easy populate

Hi,

I'm a newbie tp PHP searched the forums and discovered it was an easy way to upload several products at once. I downloaded the easypopulate pack v2.61 (using osc MS2) and created easypopulate.php, easypopulate_functions.php.

I then copied the contents of each file on my pc to the new file I created into my file directory on the web.

I am uncertain whether I am supposed to be customizing or actually writing a easypopulate.php, the manual is not clear about this. Also I changed the settings so I dont have a catalog/temp directory. Where should the edits to tempdir take place, where is tempdir??

Suggestions please

I edited the tempdir and can now see easypopulate file in admin however when I click on easypopulate I get the following error:

Parse error: parse error in /home/giftseas/public_html/admin/easypopulate.php on line 666

tried editing for space/blank in script but it keeps comping back.

Secondly online catalog in admin now delivers error 404 pg.

Trust me ppl make it sound way easier than it is. Well to be totally honest, I was doing fine till I actually saw the easypopulate.php file. If you figure out what to do with it - you know where to reach me!

I cant figure out if I'm supposed to be writing an easypopulate php script or editing one - its no secret, :stupid: hehe.

Gotta hand it to you though, I respect your drive. You added how many products manually?!

I didnt know you didnt know about easypopulate... stay in touch so if I get any ideas/tips I'll pass them on...

All the best!

P.S. - anyone with help or insight I'm still swimming in deep waters with this easypopulate thing... help!
