New Account Creation - no default Country selection

Hi,

 

I am using the osc ms 2.2. I am trying to set the default country to United States. I am hoping that this will set the default country to US for the Account Creation page of a new customer.

 

I have looked in the Admin panel under Locations/Taxes/Countries. I see a lot of countries entered there. I sifted through them all, and found United States. But nowhere did I see an option to make it the default. Am I missing something here?

 

Other threads seemed to indicate that you could select a default country in this panel, but I don't have that option.

 

I see only 4 fields:

Name

ISO Code (2)

ISO Code (3)

Address Format- A drop down menu

 

Where do I make the United States the default?

 

Also, is there a faster way to remove all countries except for United States (I guess that would make it the default country then). I only want to ship to the United States. Is there a file I can edit? Going through the Admin panel to remove 12 pages of countries will take a very long time.

You could empty the countries table using your database administator and then add United States back in.

 

Back up before you try and make a note of the United States ISO codes etc.
