Credit Card CID Code

Effective October 1, 2003, all LinkPoint products will support the new Discover Card Identification Code (called Discover CID). Discover CID is a 3-digit code found on the back of the card on the signature line, similar to the CVV2 and CVC2 codes for Visa and MasterCard currently used as a protective measure to help prevent fraud.

Is there a way to add that field to the checkout procedure???

Thanks,

I am also interested on that !!!

I have added the following fields to my DB : Verification Code and Issuer Bank. I have also successfuly modified the concerned checkout pages in order to "get" and show those 2 fields BUT...

When I check in the DB (with phpMyAdmin) everything is correctly inserted in the DB EXCEPT those 2 fields !!!

Any clue on this ?

If anyone has a method to deal with this (same as the CID and CVV2...), feel free to reply !!!

Thx,

Paulo.

I would be happy if I could just the fields to the database and have them appear. I am sure someone out there knows how to do this. It would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks again,

I will start working on this problem ASAP.

It appears it may be a bigger problem than I originally thought.

Amex uses a 4 digit security code. So it may not be a matter of just adding the CID field to the process.

If we just add a field that is capable of taking 4 digits, I am not sure if we can make sure it will not just insert a zero in the ones transmitted to V/MC&Disc. So there in lies the biggest problem.

If anyone has a suggestion other than just adding a separate mod for Discover cards I would love to see what you have.
